Issue 29 (2-3)THIS OPEN ISSUE includes five research articles, spanning from the sexual relationship between women in late nineteenth-century Denmark (Rikke Andreassen), narratives about emigration among post-Soviet LGBTQ people (Mariya Levitanus & Polina Kislitsyna), intimate partner violence among lesbians, gays and bisexuals in Norway (Esra Ummak, Ezgi Toplu-Demirtas & Reidar Schei Jessen), to the affective impact of Finnish trans memes (Vilja Jaaksi) and the violence experienced by a young opera singer in training (David Fong). In the We’re Here, Makz Bjuggfält and Lou Mattei retrace the queer dreams and desires behind the Prisma Literary Award. The introductory editorial by Erika Alm and Elisabeth Lund Engebretsen reflects on interpretations of the concept of academic freedom in a time of genocide and scholasticide. Two reviews, of a recently published book and a PhD dissertation, conclude the issue.
